AionCalc.com, Version 1.03 (FINAL), 2010-04-03 05:43:00

I. About the Author of AionCalc.com:
I'm openly a nerd. I still like fps games the best, and buy and play nearly every new one that comes out for pc. Unreal Tournament was my first fps game. Played CS:S for a long time until I got hooked on WoW. I played that for about three years. I quit just before Wrath came out. Blizz swung the nerf bat to destro locks to "balance them for lvl 80" and it turned my T6 destro lock into a limp noodle which inevitably caused me to lose interest. That's when I decided I wanted to learn some server side scripting, so I bought some books on php and started to read. I had always coded "proof of concept" kind of stuff to try things I learned and for practice, but had never released a site to the public until now. When Aion released, my buddy Scottie talked me into playing. (by buying me the game, force feeding does work on occasion lol)

II. Reason AionCalc.com Was Created:
I enjoy harnessing my knowledge of class mechanics to get every bit of potential out of my characters. I remember back in vanilla WoW when spell damage barely existed. Every mage I saw stacked intellect to get as big of a mana pool as possible. They all hit for the same amount. Pretty boring. My mage was my alt. I went frost (against what nearly everyone did back then) and collected the very few pieces of +Damage and Healing gear there was at the time. Most were blues, with a few MC pieces. I was horribly mis-matched looking, with a really weak mana pool, but man was my dps high for that time. Not only did I top the damage meter, but I would be 4-5 times what 2nd place got. It was insane. THAT was when I really got interested in the game. Before then the game seemed pretty two dimensional but at that point I realized with the right gear itemization, you can really make your character shine. Then I start Aion. VAGUE is an understatement. If NCSoft ever reads this, THAT IS NOT COOL. I love making spreadsheets and being a total nerd over my character's stats, gear, and performance. It's hard to theorycraft when they keep their game mechanics a secret. Oh well, with the power of ingenuity and a few cases of beer, and many hours of testing, I was able to figure most of the sorcerer algorithms out. I did get alot of excellent help, data, and pointers on the forums too at aiononline. I was going to make a spreadsheet but decided this would be a good opportunity to make my first public website. So... here it is! It's a work in progress, but I'm fairly happy so far. It's actually been helpful to use for futher testing. (especially the target resistance calc)

III. "Will there be more content on this site? Will it stay up-to-date?"
This is the final build. I quit playing Aion because I lost interest, so I can no longer update and test my scripts. I'll leave this website up though.

VI. Suggestions, Questions, Feedback, Contact, etc...
I take pride in my work. I get really involved and spent way too much of my free time working on this kind of thing. I would absolutely love to hear back from my fellow Aion players, whether it's to make a suggestion, just to say hi, ask me a question, give me constructive criticism, or whatever. Keep in mind, between work, gaming, and coding, (and very little sleep) great ideas slip past me. If you have an idea, as weird as you think it might be, let me know!
